Babies and Knitting

Isaac appears to be teething so I have spent a lot of time today with him sleeping or screaming at me. When he is sleeping I have managed to perfect the art of knitting. I have to ensure that I move very little and I do knit quite slowly but it is getting there.

He has currently gone to bed and is sleeping so hopefully this will continue. I may just take the knitting upstairs just in case.

Other good times to knit with a baby are while breastfeeding. I have recently perfected this as I have an amazing widgey pillow which supports him and I can knit over the top of him. It can be problematic though as he likes to play with the ends of the wool from where I have changed colours/balls or from the cast on edge.

First Thought

I thought that I would set this up to let people know about my knitting projects and to see if I am actually missing something in this Blogging lark.

So here is a bit about me.

  1. Nearly 30
  2. Mum to Isaac (24/06/08)
  3. Wife to Tony
  4. Assistant Guide Guider and County Arts and Crafts Advisor
  5. Environmental Science Graduate
  6. Avid Live music and festivals fan - especially folk/punk/singer songwriter stuff
  7. BOOKWORM
My current project is a Santa Suit for my son, which I have almost finished, although I am a bit worried about where I have to pick up stitches for the edges and collar, may be seeking advice then.
