The big return

Well, I returned in the 'worst' weather in the South East in 'decades'

Actually not all that bad, I need to find some small knitting projects that I can take into work to do during my lunch hour. I may even try and master crotchet.

Isaac enjoyed his day at his childminders, I recommended www.directgov.co.uk to fine one. It worked well for me.

So now to day two - and what do I have to look forward too

- My manager will probably be in as she didn't make it in today due to the inclement weather
- Lots of learning and systems updates, email reading and policy updates
- More missing Isaac and expressing in a cramped kitchen

Well off to learn how to crotchet

The last week

So I am approaching my last week before I return to work and have a substantial to do list and also a list of don'ts

DO
- wash uniform
- find suitable make up
- remember to make lunch everyday
- find a container for unsuitable jewellery

DONT
- forget to drop Isaac at the childminders
- forget to take the breast pump to work
- forget something to do during a lunch hour

So what shall I be doing in my lunch hour - what I should be doing now actually, finishing all my half finished projects both cross stitch and knitting as well as reading and pumping breast milk

A New Year

So 2008 has been and gone and what happened to your novice knitter?

Well, I managed a whole 3 months at work, and then had the fun of maternity leave. My knitting has come on in leaps and bounds. This time last year I was knitting a cardigan for an unknown baby, and it took me about 8 weeks. Come the end of the year I managed to knit the Sirdar Santa Suit in 8 weeks and Isaac looked gorgeous in it and I got lots of compliments.

So what does 2009 hold?

I will be returning to work in a month and plan to knit a lot more christmas presents this year as well as doing lots of homemade sweets and some Isaac themed presents.
